Lisdexamfetamine is a psychostimulant prodrug of dextroamphetamine coupled with the amino acid L-lysine. The active ingredient is sold under the brand name Vyvanse for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and children six to twelve years of age.
