Mephedrone, also known as 4-methylmethcathinone, is a synthetic stimulant of the amphetamine and cathinone classes. Significant abuse of this new recreational drug has been reported within the last year in the UK, Sweden, and Toronto Canada with confiscation of the drug in states including Oregon.
