Promethazine is a phenothiazine analog prescribed for treatment of nausea, motion sickness, vomiting, and allergies. Sold under trade names such as Phenergan and Phenadoz, promethazine has antihistamine, sedative, and mild antipsychotic effects. This Certified Spiking Solution is suitable for GC/MS or LC/MS methods in promethazine testing applications including clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, and urine drug testing. Among drug abusers, promethazine has reportedly been misused in conjunction with opioids, benzodiazepines, and sedatives.
